Cold Weather is Upon Us - Please have your students dress in layers or make sure they bring a coat to school.
Veteran's Day Project - Mrs. Scheffler's fourth and fifth grade class are making a Veteran's Wall for Veteran's Day. A letter will be coming home from these students with more information on this project. Please take time to read this as this is a very worthwhile project.
Christmas Bazaar - Our school will be hosting a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A flyer went home last week with more information on this event that Nita Lundberg is organizing. Also, we will be having a baked food sale that day also, it is being coordinated by Juliann Seymour. If you are interested in helping with the Bazaar or would like to donated baked items for us to sell, contact Nita or Juliann. Their numbers are listed in the Parent Student Directory.
Volunteer Opportunity - We are looking for parents to be "Classroom Moms/Dads" for each of our classes. This job consists of calling parents for: field trip drivers, classroom parties, and making calls for your teacher. We need one parent for each class. If you are interested in this easy but vital job, please contact Pam.
Thanksgiving Basket Donations Needed - Every year our school collects canned food items to help local families in need. Here are the needed items: Corn, Green Beans, Cranberries, Olives, Pickles, Yams, Fruit Cocktail, Canned Milk, Pumpkin, Marshmallows, Jell-O, Gravy Packets, Boxed Stuffing, Roasting Pans. We have a bin in the school office for the donated items. Donations have been slowly coming in, but it is time to really get going on this. On November 20th the 1st through 5th graders will be packing the boxes for distribution.
A Great Time Was Had by All - Thank you to everyone who attended this year's Harvest Festival. It was a wonderful evening of fun and games. Thank you to school moms Renee Clark and Karla Huntley for all of their help planning, setting up and working at the festival. Thank you also to the St. John Lutheran Church Youth Group for their hard work also. It was a great time.
