Dear Parents,

What wonderful parents we have in our class. With just one request I had two generous moms ask about being our room mom. Mrs. Surgeon was the first to ask about it and I will love having her  help with phone calling and planning parties. Thanks to Mrs. Sherbourne for also offering to help.

We will be going to the planetarium on November 24 for our fall field trip. We must be there by 9:00 so we will load cars up as soon as students arrive at school. This is always a favorite field trip and the students are excited about going.

Please check the school newsletter for items we need for the Thanksgiving baskets and send a can of food with your child as soon as possible. There is usually some kind of contest between the rooms for this.

I want to ask you again, please take a pen and mark your child's name in his or her school shirts and coat. (The tag is a good place.) When we get a lost school shirt, I hold it up. They all look the same, so no one claims it and it will hang in the room all year. If there is a name on the tag it makes it so much easier. Also, some of the children have come to school without a coat or sweatshirt. Please be sure your child has a warm wrap when leaving for school.
