This week's scripture: Proverbs 17:7 "A friend loves at all times."

Dear Parents,

      The original due date for our book order was this Wednesday, but we do not have school this Wednesday, Veteran's Day. The Scholastic Book orders new due date is this Friday, November 13th.

      Parent-teacher conferences will be next Monday, November 16th. There will be a sign up sheet available at the sign in table when you bring and/or pick up your child.

      This week our letter is "Gg", as in Gordy Gorilla. The children benefit from reinforcement at home on letter recognition and sounds when it is done in a fun way: reading signs when out and about, games, puzzles,etc. One of the best pre-reading preparations that parents can offer is reading at least 10-15 minutes daily with their child.

     Some of our craft activites have been centered around the season of fall. We will continue with that focus, along with enjoying Thanksgiving-related activities this month.
